Britain's Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams is still flying high after her stunning victory in the skeleton bob. After securing Britain's first individual Winter Olympic gold in 30 years, Williams admits her triumph is yet to fully sink in.

"It still doesn't feel real," she said. "We are here in Whistler, it's a kind of little Olympic environment, and I think once I step outside that it will probably hit me.

"I am so glad I can bring back this medal for everyone at home, it's just a big thank you for all the support and to the millions of people watching it, thank you."

Williams set two track records as she slid to gold, and despite hitting speeds of over 140kph, it was the medal ceremony that terrified her.

"I was more nervous than before any of the runs," she said. "My legs were shaking and I was scared it would show on the cameras. The three of us were together before we went on stage; giggling and we were saying we can't believe this is happening to us."
