New Zealand and Italy renew hostilities this weekend with the All Blacks strong favourites to extend their winning run against the Azzurri.

The tourists have won all of the 11 previous encounters between the two countries from the 70-6 thumping in Auckland in 1987 to the more competitive 20-6 success in Milan in 2009.

Italy's heaviest defeat came at the 1999 Rugby World Cup with the All Blacks running in 14 tries on their way to a 101-3 victory. The closest Saturday's hosts have come to upsetting the formbook was at the 1991 Rugby World Cup where they were eventually beaten 31-21 although a clash against a New Zealand XV did provide a closer result - an 18-12 for the Kiwis.

The most recent meeting between the sides was staged at the San Siro in Milan - the usual home to Serie A football sides AC Milan and Inter Milan. Their latest meeting will take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome - the usual home to two more football sides, Lazio and Roma.
