Westpac Stadium officials are confident the earthquake-shaken venue will be cleared to host the second Bledisloe Cup Test on Saturday. Engineers went over the 13-year-old stadium on Monday, and they expect to know by the end of the day exactly the level of damage sustained during the earthquake last Friday.

The earthquake, which measured 6.6 on the Richter Scale, hit 10 kilometres south-east of Seddon in Marlborough and forced the cancellation of stadium events over the weekend, but preparations for the Bledisloe Test between the All Blacks and the Wallabies continued.

"We are not expecting any issues to prevent the Bledisloe going ahead," stadium chief executive Shane Harmon said. The stadium seemingly suffered only concrete chipping of the walkway and broken glassware in the lounge rooms, he said.

Around 36,500 spectators are expected for the second clash between the two sides in The Rugby Championship.
