Pauliasi Manu and James Lowe have committed to the Chiefs for another two years, with Dave Rennie saying "they are both top men, who have high aspirations and are prepared to work hard for them".

Manu has played 31 matches for the Chiefs, and the coach said the prop had "grown enormously and become a big contributor for us both on and off the field".

"He has been an outstanding scrummager, proving to be both powerful and explosive around the field for us."

Manu said the Chiefs were "the best choice" for him, while Lowe, who joined the Chiefs at the start of last season, scoring three tries in his 12 outings, said "it was an easy decision … to stay".

"I am very happy at the Chiefs," Lowe said. "I love the culture and believe it is the best coaching staff in the world.

Rennie said Lowe's versatility complimented the Chiefs backline. "James is a big, quick and powerful winger with a massive left foot. His ability to beat defenders and play anywhere in the back three is a huge asset."
