Erasmus injury forces one change for Cats
May 3, 2000

An injury to Cats skipper Rassie Erasmus has forced coach Laurie Mains to make one change to that side that takes on the Blues at Ellis Park of Friday.

Lions loose forward Walter Minnaar gets the call-up from the bench, with Piet Krause joining the reserves.

Erasmus strained his right calf muscle in training on Tuesday - ruling him out for this week's crucial encounter. The Cats medical team will only know the true extent of the injury by the end of this week.

Despite losing Erasmus, Mains at least had something to smile about. Flyhalf Louis Koen proved that he had shrugged off the hip injury that forced him from the field against the Reds and completed the full session. Griquas pivot Boeta Wessels comes onto the bench as reserve flyhalf in the absence of Hennie le Roux and MJ Smith.
