Motivation not a concern for Eales
August 3, 2000

Wallaby skipper John Eales believes his side will take inspiration from the fact that Saturday's game may be the last against great rivals New Zealand for some of the players.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with scrum.com he paid tribute to those Wallaby stalwarts who may not face the All Blacks again

"Obviously there are sentimental reasons for wanting to win for them, they have all given so much to Australian rugby and achieved so much during their careers. But as professional rugby players we don't, or at least shouldn't, need that extra motivation."

Commenting on what he thought his side had to improve on since their last meeting he said, "The start, obviously. We can't afford another start like that."
