Erasmus to skipper Cats in Super 12

SARFU has today confirmed that Springbok flanker Johan 'Rassie' Erasmus will captain the Cats in the forthcoming Super 12 series.

The announcement comes the day after SARFU revealed the composition of all South African Super 12 sides.

Erasmus is one of the world's leading loose forwards and since his debut for the Springboks in July 1997 has appeared in 34 tests.He would have appeared in many more but for a series of injuries which have restricted his appearances over the past two years.

In addition, SARFU announced that lock Chrisjan van der Westhuizen has been added to the Cats' squad as its 30th member.
