The beleaguered Chiefs continue to struggle with an injury crisis as they prepare for Friday's Super 12 round four match against the Blues.

On Monday it was revealed that Jonno Gibbes , Keith Robinson, Koula Tukino and Loki Crichton were receiving treatment for a range of injuries which are likely to sideline them , today it has been revealed that promising centre Mark Ranby is also struggling.

In Saturday's game against the Crusaders Ranby suffered a blow to the ankle which has given him problems in the past - causing him to miss most of last year's NPC. He'll be out for at least two weeks and a decision will be made later in the week about a possible replacement for him.

Waikato lock Chresten Davis, omitted from John Mitchell's original Chiefs' squad is also being considered for a call up should Robinson's injury look likely to sideline him for an extended period.
