Tune out of semi-final
May 15, 2001

Ben Tune has succumbed to a shoulder injury and will not play in Saturday's Super 12 semi-final against the Brumbies in Canberra.

The Wallaby and Reds winger injured the shoulder early in the Saturday's game against the Waratahs in Sydney, but is not expected to require surgery. Tests cleared him of a tear in the rotator cuff, but he would not recover in time for the semi-final.

Tune has had a horrible run with injuries since Australia's World Cup triumph in 1999 and had only recently returned to the field after overcoming complications from a blood infection.

Junior Pelesasa, Nathan Williams and Ricky Nalatu will vie for the wingers' positions when the Reds team is announced.
