Robinson a new Maori

Exciting Hawke's Bay lock Reece Robinson is one of four players brought into the New Zealand Maori rugby squad for matches against Wasps and Argentina.

The 23-year-old, 1.98m-tall Robinson is in for injured All Black Mark Cooksley in the squad of 23 named by coach Matt Te Pou on Wednesday.

The other three squad members who weren't involved in the match against the Wallabies on Saturday are Taranaki lock Paul Tito, Counties-Manukau loose forward Hare Makiri and North Harbour flanker Blair Urlich.

Flyhalf Glen Jackson, who left the field on Saturday with a leg injury, is expected to be passed fit when the squad assemble in Rotorua this weekend.

The Maori face the Wasps, expected to include some national training squad members, next Wednesday in Rotorua before meeting Argentina at the same venue six days later on June 26.
