Northland edge out Bay of Plenty

Northland beat Bay of Plenty 22 - 18 in Friday's NPC match at International Stadium, Rotorua.

Northland led 12 - 9 in the first half with two tries run in by Sam Pinder and Hayden Taylor.

Northland's Rupeni Caucaunibuca ran in the only try in the second half.

James Arlidge converted one try in the first half and booted a further 5 points in the second half for Northland.

Bay of Plenty's Glen Taylor was the sole scorer for his team, booting 3 penalties for the homeside in the first half, and adding a further 9 points in the second.
