Hurricanes hooker Dane Coles is facing court after being arrested for disorderly conduct following an incident in Wellington on Saturday night.

Few details have been made available but Hurricanes chief executive Greg Peters has said that the incident was not a serious one.

"We're aware that it's at the minor end of the scale," Peters told Radio Sport. "We understand it's a disorderly behaviour offence but that's our only comment at this stage."

Coles is in his first Super 14 season following a run to the final of the New Zealand Cup with Wellington in 2008 and has started both of the Hurricanes' games so far this season, helping them to a victory over the Highlanders on Saturday after scoring a try in their loss to the Waratahs a week earlier.

Coles' arrest comes only a week after Highlanders winger Fetu'u Vainikolo was fined NZ$1000 and charged with "serious misconduct" by the New Zealand Rugby Union for his part in an incident at a Dunedin bar.
