Aaron Cruden is set to make his first rugby appearance after he missed the All Blacks flight to Argentina for the sides final Rugby Championship Tests over a week ago. Manawatu Turbos have stated that Cruden will be making an appearance for the side in their top of the table clash with Hawke's Bay on Sunday.

It is likely Cruden will come off the bench during the second half to relieve either of the Turbos' fly-half's Otere Black or Jade Te Rure. This will be Cruden's first appearance for the ITM Cup side since he played the Championship final against Hawke's Bay at Palmerston North on September 4, 2011.

Turbos' coach Jason O'Halloran said Cruden had felt uncomfortable moving into the starting role for the side and he would probably come off the bench but O'Halloran wouldn't be "making any promises''.

''He felt uncomfortable about starting and could only get to us on Friday for training,'' O'Halloran told Fairfax Media. ''On Monday and Tuesday he had a few things to take care of.''

Cruden will face the New Zealand Rugby Union disciplinary hearing for his boozy night out that resulted in him missing his flight to Argentina tomorrow in Wellington.
