ITM Cup sides nominate crossover fixtures

New Zealand's ITM Cup teams have chosen their opposition for the compulsory crossover matches between Premiership and Championship teams.

The final positions of 2014 determined the seeding order for next season, with the first round of crossover fixtures selected automatically according to seeding order. The selections were based on Hawke's Bay Magpies being Ranfurly Shield holders at the time of the fixture.

"This year, several unions took the opportunity to canvas their fans to see who they thought their teams should choose," New Zealand Rugby general manager rugby Neil Sorensen said. "Some were aligned with their coaches' choices, and some were at the other end."

New Zealand Rugby will now begin work on the draw for 2015, which will be announced by mid-February.
