David Millar will await his fate after ruling out making a legal challenge against his lifetime Olympic ban.

Under a British Olympic Association bylaw, cyclist Millar is currently banned from competing at London 2012 after he admitted taking performance enhancing drugs in 2004.

Like athlete Dwain Chambers, Millar has been handed a lifeline after the World Anti-Doping Agency claimed the BOA's stance was "non-compliant" with the world anti-doping code.

The BOA plans to take its case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, but Millar insists he does not want to get embroiled in any legal battles.

"I wrote off London 2012 a long time ago," he said. "The lifetime ban wasn't something I wanted to challenge. I didn't want to be vilified any more. so I'm just going to leave it out there and see what happens."
