Mo Farah believes his recent disappointment at the World Indoor Athletics Championships may prove to be a blessing in disguise.

Farah finished outside of the medals in the 3000m in Turkey earlier this month, which was a fourth successive defeat for the Brit.

Farah has returned to his training base in Oregon as he continues his preparations for London 2012, and while he admits he regrets his race tactics, he insists he can learn from recent disappointments.

"I just have to learn from the defeats," Farah told the Sun. "I didn't do as well as I expected but it's all about the Olympics and my main events - and there isn't a 3000m at the Olympics.

"I don't regret doing the World Indoors. I have regrets in a different way because I lost and I got beaten and it wasn't what I wanted. But I don't regret racing - I had to race.

"If anything it shows I can't rest on my laurels. I have to keep training. Sometimes when you experience disappointment then you start to do even better because it makes you more hungry.

"My confidence is still high and I'm hungry. I'm a lot more up for it now. You can't keep winning. You have to lose sometime and this shows."
