British super-heavyweight Anthony Joshua is aware that he is one of Team GB's leading hopes for a medal at London 2012 - and he insists he likes it that way.

Joshua, who won silver at the 2011 World Amateur Championships, is vowing to leave no stone unturned in his preparations for this summer's Games.

"This means everything to me. It's not something that everyone can do so we're all going to work hard to make people proud," Joshua told the Sun.

"I'm going to make sure I give my best throughout the Games and ensure the outcome is the gold medal that everyone expects.

"The expectations of other people are exactly the same as mine - I've got high expectations too. There isn't too much pressure on my shoulders because all I want to do is give it my best shot."

Joshua's charisma has marked him out as a potential professional star in the future, but he says he has not yet thought about turning over after the Games.

He said: "All I'm focused on is what's coming two, three months down the line. With such a big event in front of me, I can't think beyond it.

"Weekends are for family time and because we're in the gym so much during the week, we don't really get caught up in the hype too much."
