Usain Bolt says he hopes to become an Olympic "legend" in London as he aims to defend his Olympic 100m and 200m titles.

Bolt, who has overcome back problems to arrive in the Olympic village, says he is "ready to go" ahead of his events. But doubts over the Jamaican's form have come to surface since he was defeated by Yohan Blake twice at the national trials in Kingston recently.

However, Bolt says he has addressed the issue of his poor starts and will be aiming to break his own world records in the 100m and 200m.

"My aim now is to become a legend," he said, "and that's what I'm working towards.

"I've learned not to worry about the start any more. I sat down and talked to my coach and came up with the conclusion . . . that I was never a good starter, I'll never be a good starter. So I should get past that and just focus on running."

After training secretly alongside Blake in recent weeks, the flag bearer for the Jamaican team concedes he is feeling under more scrutiny than he was in Beijing four years ago.

"It's a little bit more pressure because now everybody wants to see a win," said Bolt.
