Gunnell hits back in ticket row

Former Olympic champion Sally Gunnell has dismissed suggestions there has been a poor uptake in the ticket ballot for London 2012.
Secondary ticket operators Seatwave, who pitched unsuccessfully for the official supply contract, claimed that interest levels were low, having produced a poll that showed 80% of their 380 respondents had not tried for tickets.
The London 2012 Organising Committee reacted angrily to suggestions of disenchantment, citing the 2.5 million who had signed up for the ballot, which closes on Tuesday evening. Now Gunnell, who picked up a gold at the 1992 Games for her exploits in the 400m hurdles, has backed the ticketing system.
"It's gone really well, so it is going to be tough to get tickets, but I think every venue and every session has been applied for," Gunnell told Sky Sports.
A 2012 spokesperson said: "Sales are going extremely well. Our aim has always been to get tickets into the hand of sports fans, not people wanting to sell them on at inflated prices."
