Wales and Samoa will go head to head in Cardiff on Friday night with their Test record poised at three wins apiece.

Two of Samoa's victories represent a couple of the biggest upsets in Rugby World Cup history.

In 1991 Wales were felled 16-13 at Cardiff Arms Park, with the legendary Brian Lima making an impact at his first World Cup.

Lightning struck twice when in 1999 the Samoans produced a thrilling display to beat the hosts at the brand new Millennium Stadium.

Their 38-34 victory contained a breakaway try for inspirational skipper Pat Lam shortly before his retirement, while fly-half Stephen Bachop, also an All Black, was Wales' main tormentor with two tries.
