Wasps flyer Christian Wade has been nominated for yet another piece of silverware after being put forward for the Discovery of the Season gong with the winner announced at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards.

Wade has already been nominated for Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Season and both the RPA Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year award. It has been a remarkable season for the 21-year-old and he bagged two more tries at the weekend to take his tally to 18 for the season.

And he could now complete an incredible clean sweep of silverware having been nominated for the Discovery of the Season award which recognises the best under-23 players in the Premiership.

He will vie for the trophy with his Wasps team-mate Joe Launchbury who is also up for both RPA awards. Launchbury has enjoyed an impressive campaign which has seen him make his full Test debut for England while shining on the domestic stage.

Saracens' Mako Vunipola is also in the mix for a potential triple having also been included on the shortlist for the RPA awards. Similar to Launchbury, the prop made his debut for England this term and the season looks set to get better for Vunipola following his inclusion in the 37-man British & Irish Lions squad for the summer tour.

And Gloucester duo Freddie Burns and Jonny May have also been nominated for the Discovery of the Season award. They will vie with the above trio as well as Harlequins' Luke Wallace who led his side to the Anglo-Welsh Cup title this season.
