Kurtley Beale is reportedly back in the Wallabies mix after Michael Cheika added him to the squad for their end-of-year tour.

Australia face France on Saturday night and while Beale will watch that game from the stands, he is in the mix for their games against Ireland and England. Beale's last action for Australia came against South Africa in September but he was then exiled by former coach Ewen McKenzie after an in-flight incident with ex-team manager Di Patston.

The incident sparked further disciplinary trouble with Beale at the centre of a misconduct hearing regarding an offensive text message he sent to Patston. At one stage Beale's international future was shrouded in doubt but instead of being handed a suspension by the Australian Rugby Union, Beale was fined AUS$45,000.

He was originally left out of the squad for their November series but according to reports in Australia, Beale will fly out along with the Reds' Jake Schatz to join the team and watch Saturday's game in Paris. He will then be in contention for their last two Tests against Ireland and England.

The move sees Beale reunited with his Waratahs coach Cheika who led the team to the Super Rugby title this season.
