Leicester scrum-half Julien Dupuy has been called up by France for the first time for their upcoming Test tour of New Zealand and Australia.

Dupuy's scintillating form in helping the Tigers to within reach of a Premiership and Heineken Cup double has been recognised by coach Marc Lievremont, who will have pleased the southern hemisphere sides by naming a powerful and experienced touring squad.

Dupuy is one of two scrum-halves named by Lievremont, with the Clermont-bound Morgan Parra the other. Both Dimitri Yachvili and Jean-Baptiste Elissalde have been overlooked.

Fit-again Stade Francais lock Pascal Pape returns to the squad after a lengthy spell in the international wilderness, while Toulouse winger Vincent Clerc is included having regained his match sharpness after a serious knee injury. Aurelien Rougerie and Alexis Palisson are other wings called up after being ignored for the Six Nations.

Lievremont has called on David Skrela and Francois Trinh-Duc as his fly-halves, meaning that Lionel Beauxis is out of the door after being the only out-and-out No.10 in the Six Nations squad.

France will play New Zealand twice - in Dunedin on June 13 and in Wellington on June 20 - before rounding off the tour with a Test against Australia in Sydney on June 27.
