Romania captain Marius Tincu has been recalled to the Oaks' starting line-up for Wednesday's Rugby World Cup Pool B clash with Georgia at the Arena Manawatu in Palmerston North.

The Perpignan hooker was left on the bench by head coach Romeo Gontineac for Saturday's defeat by England in Dunedin in a bid to keep the player fresh for their final game in the tournament - and by far their most winnable. Consequently, Tincu returns to the front-row at the expense of Bogdan Suman and will line up alongside Mihaita Lazar and Paulica Ion, who come in for Nicolae Nere and Silviu Florea, respectively.

Valentin Ursache takes over from Valentin Poparlan in the second-row, while Sandu Burcea and Cosmin Ratiu make way for Mihai Macovei and Daniel Carpo in the back-row. The return of Carpo sees Ovidiu Tonita switch from No.8 to openside flanker.

There are just two survivors from the back-line which faced the English, with Marin Dumbrava holding on to the No.10 jersey and Stefan Ciuntu retaining his place on the right wing. Iulian Dumitras reclaims the fullback berth from Florin Vlaicu, Csaba Gal and Tiberius Dimofte slot back into the midfield in place of Ionel Cazan and Iulian Dumitras, Madilin Lemnaru replaces Adrian Apostol on the left wing, while Florin Surugiu is preferred to Lucian Sirbu at scrum-half.

Romania: Iulian Dumitras; Stefan Ciuntu, Csaba Gal, Tiberius Dimofte, Madalin Lemnaru; Marin Dumbrava, Florin Surugiu; Mihaita Lazar, Marius Tincu (capt), Paulica Ion; Valentin Ursache, Cristian Petre; Mihai Macovei, Ovidiu Tonita, Daniel Carpo.

Replacements: Bogdan Suman, Silviu Florea, Valentin Poparlan, Daniel Ianus, Valentin Calafeteanu, Constantin Gheara, Florin Vlaicu.
