London Irish back-rower Chris Hala'ufia must wait until the New Year to discover if he will be punished for an alleged dangerous tackle in the Exiles' recent Heineken Cup win over Racing Metro.

The Tongan No.8 has already been banned for six weeks and fined by his club following the incident, which involved Racing fullback Gaetan Germain.

Mark McParland, the judicial officer in charge of the case, has adjourned the hearing until early 2012, with a date to be confirmed in future.

Hala'ufia has been banned four times in the last two years and recently completed a seven-week sanction for a high tackle.
