Former Sale Sharks boss Kingsley Jones has been appointed head coach of the Russian national team on a four-year contract.

The 42-year-old succeeds Nikolay Nerush in the hotseat, having served as a member of the Bears' backroom staff at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

"He'll be our head coach for the next four years, until the 2015 World Cup," Russian Rugby Union (RRU) boss Vyacheslav Kopyev told Reuters.

Meanwhile, dual-code international Henry Paul has been handed the reins of Russia's Sevens side and will oversee preparations for the Rugby World Cup Sevens on home soil in 2013.
