Jake White will assist Tonga on their end-of-year tour.

Tonga have Tests lined up against Georgia, the USA and Scotland and he will assist coach Mana Otai. White left the Sharks last month after just one year in charge and was reportedly looking for an international post ahead of the World Cup.

White will bring a wealth of international experience to Tonga having guided South Africa to the 2007 World Cup. "Through some mutual acquaintances we got in touch with Jake and he was extremely keen to come on board," Tonga high performance manager Peter Harding told ONE News. "He's had a great coaching career and has won a World Cup so his presence alone will be massive for the squad."
