Ex-All Black Piri Weepu will play for Oyonnax next season after penning a two-year deal.

Weepu signed for London Welsh ahead of the current campaign but leave at the season's end to join the Top 14 side on July 1.

London Welsh have endured a miserable season and are yet to win in any competition this term. Their latest setback came on Saturday when they crashed to another heavy defeat at Gloucester.

Weepu will bring a wealth of experience to Oyonnax having won 71 caps for New Zealand and played a key role in their charge to the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
