Worcester have announced the signing of Georgia World Cup hooker Jaba Bregvadze.

Bregvadze, who has won 32 caps, will link up with his new team-mates ahead of next Saturday's Aviva Premiership game against Gloucester.

He was involved in Georgia's recent World Cup encounters against Tonga, Namibia and Argentina, helping them secure a third-place pool finish that guaranteed qualification for the 2019 tournament in Japan.

Bregvadze has been with French giants Toulouse for the last three seasons.

Worcester rugby director Dean Ryan said: "Jaba is an experienced international who will add strength and depth to our front-row.

"We have been really impressed by his performances at the Rugby World Cup and are excited to be able to add him to our squad.

"He will add more competition for the number two shirt, while being able to drive standards of some of our younger players in what is a key area."
