Tournaire signs for Tigers

French prop Franck Tournaire has signed for double Heineken Cup winners Leicester Tigers.

Toulouse have confirmed that the 29-year-old front-row has opted to join the Tigers on a two-year contract despite recent talk of a move to Bath.

Toulouse have been willing to let him go following their elimination from the French championship at the hands of Agen last weekend.

Leicester director of rugby Dean Richards is reportedly keen to take the pressure off veteran front-row Darren Garforth.

In another boost for the Tigers centre Leon Lloyd is set to remain with the club after talks with Richards and other senior Leicester officials.
