The Collegiate All-star championships will be contested this Friday and Saturday, June 7th and 8th in the northern California city of San Jose.

Eight teams representing the seven territories, plus the military academies, will be vying for honours. The teams have been split into two groupings; Tier A comprising Pacific, West, South and the Academies and Tier B consisting of Southern California, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Players from some of these teams already have big game experience under their belts having competed at the Collegiate Final Four tournament in April.

Pacific, taking in northern California and the Pacific Northwest, are the reigning champs. The All-American team will be chosen after this weekend's championships. Last year, the All-Americans, under the stewardship of new US Eagles coach Tom Billups, undertook a successful three-match tour of Ireland.

All of the matches will be played at the Watson Bowl, home of Division One club the San Jose Seahawks.
