Jackson at fullback for Chiefs
February 20, 2003

Chiefs coach Kevin Greene has named both two regular fly-halves Glen Jackson and David Hill in his side to take on the Highlanders this Friday night in their opening Super 12 clash.

Hill will start at No.10 with Jackson starting at fullback for the Waikato Stadium match.

Injuries to regular fullbacks Loki Crichton (knee ligament) and Todd Miller (calf) forced Greene's hand. Goal kicking duties are likely to go to Jackson according to Greene.

Young Fijian winger Sitiveni Sivivatu, the only second division player selected to play in this year's Super 12, will wear the number 11 jersey for the Chiefs.

Greene has selected Mark Ranby as second five-eighth and Keith Lowen as centre for the Highlanders clash. Regan King, who is yet to make his debut into the Super 12 rugby competition, is named in the reserves but is likely to get game time.

Meanwhile No.8s Paul Miller and Steven Bates have been bracketed by Greene in the Chiefs starting line-up.

Greene says he will make a decision whether to start Miller, who is recovering from a knee injury, on Friday.
