Five new names for Bulls
February 20, 2003

Bulls coach Rudy Joubert has named five new faces in his side to face the Cats in their opening Super 12 clash on Friday afternoon.

Centres Anton Pitout and Dries Scholtz, winger Fabian Juries, lock Geo Cronje and flanker Wikus van Heerden will all make their Super 12 debuts in Bloemfontein.

Juries has been a star for the Springbok 7s team and featured prominently in last year's Bankfin Currie Cup competition. He will play on the left, with another sprinter, the Lions' John Daniels, on the right.

The burly Dries Scholtz and another SA Sevens star, Pitout, form an interesting centre pairing, with Louis Koen at flyhalf.

Blue Bulls and Springbok flank Pedrie Wannenburg will start at No 8, with Wikus van Heerden and Piet Krause completing the loose trio.

Springbok scrumhalf Joost van der Westhuizen will lead the side into the match.
