Fijian winger Rupeni Caucaunibuca is on the verge of re-joining Agen.

The PROD2 side tweeted last week Caucaunibuca would be back at the club he left in 2010 subject to a medical. From Agen he joined Toulouse as a medical joker but left the Top 14 side in 2012 after failing to recover from an injury.

Since then he has played for Northland in the ITM Cup and also ran out for Tana Umaga's Dragons' side in the 10-man form of the game. Speaking to ESPN back in March, Caucaunibuca confirmed he was on the lookout for a new club.

"Last season was good for me, I had just come back from my knee injury," Caucau told ESPN. "It was a good step for me to go to Northland. I enjoyed it there. At the moment I am looking forward, I am in good shape and I don't want to waste time. My time is going fast. I don't know how many years I have left to play rugby and I am here to work hard."

Reports from France say he contacted Agen last week to offer his services but his off-field ill-discipline will mean they are wary about bringing back one of rugby's great wasted talents.
