This weekend will be the first-ever clash between France and the Pacific Islanders.

The hosts come into the clash on the back of a narrow 12-6 victory over Argentina in Marseille while the Islanders went down to England 39-13 in their tour opener at Twickenham.

Four of the Islanders squad that lined up against England last weekend ply their trade in the French Top 14 - they are Fijian Vilimoni Delasau (Montauban), Tonga's Finau Maka (Toulouse) and Kisi Pulu (Perpignan) and Fiji's Seremaia Bai (Clermont Auvergne).

The Pacific Islanders have toured every two years since 2004 but are yet to win a Test match. In 2004, the Islanders played Australia, New Zealand and South Africa before tackling the three Scotland, Wales and Ireland in 2006.

Saracens scrum-half Mosese Rauluni, Worcester prop Aleki Lutui, Leicester centre Seru Rabeni and Clermont Auvergne centre Seremai Bai have played in all seven Pacific Islanders Tests.
