Three Aviva Premiership players have learned that they will be cited following incidents in games played on October 1. The news was confirmed by the Rugby Football Union.

Leicester Tiger's prop Boris Stankovich has been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle against Bath, while two London Irish players have also been told they have a cases to answer for dangerous play.

Former South African prop, Faan Rautenbach has been charged with striking an opponent during the Exiles' match at Gloucester and backrow Chris Hala'ufia with a dangerous charge into an opponent, having been sin-binned during the game for a high tackle on Olly Morgan.

In other Aviva news, Newcastle have appealed against a four-week suspension dished out to James Hudson on October 3 for an alleged tackle in the air on an opponent.

The citings are due to be heard in London on Monday while Hudson's appeal will be heard in Brighouse on Tuesday.
