London Welsh have confirmed the double signing of Romanian front-row Paulica Ion and Russian lock Kirill Kulemin.

Tight-head Ion arrives at the Exiles on a season long loan from London Irish and with 51 caps for Romania, will look to bring a combination of international and domestic experience to Welsh's front-row.

Kulemin signs from Castres where he has spent the last four seasons in the Top 14 Orange. He has earned 18 caps for the national side and began his career in rugby league. Coach Lyn Jones was delighted with his two new captures saying: "They are two fine signings who will help our squad to perform to its maximum.

"They are boys with lots of experience at the highest level in the English and French leagues and can bring the best out of other players."
