Newcastle Falcons scrum half Hall Charlton has signed a new two-year deal.

The 27-year-old will now stay at Kingston Park until at least the end of the 2008/9 season as he hopes to add to his 135 competitive appearances for the club.

Director of rugby, John Fletcher, said: "Hall has had a tough season with injuries, but is now back fit, playing well and pushing hard for selection.

"He is yet another local youngster to have come through our academy, and we look forward to working with him over the next two seasons."
