Faure wary of Sale duo

France prop Lionel Faure has pinpointed Sale team-mates Jason White and Rory Lamont as Scotland's main dangermen ahead of the RBS 6 Nations Championship clash between the two countries on Sunday.

White, the fearless flanker, has been Frank Hadden's talismanic captain for the past two years and led the Scots to a famous Six Nations win against France in 2006.

Full-back Lamont, meanwhile, was his country's most dangerous back - and leading try-scorer - in last year's World Cup.

Faure has seen both up close this season at the Sharks, and believes the pair are the inspirations behind the Scotland team.

``There will be trouble for us at Murrayfield, that is for sure,'' he said.

``We will have to get the better of not only their front row but also my friend Jason White, who can spark out an opponent with one tackle.

``They are dangerous behind the scrum as well, especially with Lamont there.

``Having kept their coach, they have kept the continuity going for several seasons and it is the same group of players as in the World Cup.

``It is going to be tricky but we have to rise to the challenge, and show that even though we don't know each other as well as they know each other, we have more desire.''

Like Faure, Jean-Baptiste Elissalde is predicting a tough time for the French at Murrayfield.

Les Bleus coach Marc Lievremont has named six uncapped players - Faure being one of them - in his matchday 22.

The experienced backbone of the team has been ripped out and with the squad having only linked up together on Monday, Lievremont will have less than a week
to fashion a coherent, competitive line-up to face the Scots.

Toulouse scrum-half Elissalde, at 30 one of the most experienced members of the Les Bleus side, said: ``It is very tricky to put everything in place.

``The squad is having to adapt to new demands in just five days and four training sessions. To manage all our problems is practically impossible.

``Not everything will be perfect (on Sunday). At the very best, it will be average, in my opinion.

``It is up to us to forge a character and winning mentality, because I think we are going to endure some very tough moments this weekend. I hope I am
wrong.''
