London Wasps boss Ian McGeechan has moved to end speculation about the playing future of a host of his players who are out of contract at the end of the season.

Wasps' Premiership resurgence continued with a 33-24 victory over Saracens at Adams Park on Saturday but it was the on-going contract negotiations of Wasps stars such as Danny Cipriani, James Haskell and Riki Flutey that was the hot topic after the game.

And McGeechan's frustration with the media on the issue spilled out in his post-match press conference.

"The contract situation is not unsettling any of the players, and they are our business, not yours. The attitude of the players has been first class this week, and that was shown on the field."

McGeechan's Saracens counterpart Eddie Jones stirred the issue further by signalling his interest in any players who could add to his own talent pool.

"I am interested in anyone that is a good player and can help Saracens," he said after seeing his side slip to defeat. "In January I will assess if any of the players are good enough and what Saracens need. We need to develop our young players and bring in players that can help us challenge."

Saracens leaked three tries in the last ten minutes to hand victory to Wasps with Rob Hoadley, Josh Lewsey and Paul Sackey touching down in the closing stages to conjure an unlikely victory.
