Wasps are preparing for a big occasion in their vital Heineken Cup appointment with Leinster at Twickenham on January 17.

With ticket sales having gone through the 20,000 mark, Wasps will be under pressure to deliver against the side currently in pole position in Pool 2. Leinster's slip-up at Castres in the last round has allowed the three-time champions back into contention after their 41-11 hammering at the RDS in round three.

"We are delighted to cross the 20,000 mark," said Tony Copsey, the Wasps Chief Executive Officer. "There is clearly a great interest in this game and by taking it to Twickenham we know that both Wasps and Leinster supporters can enjoy a huge rugby occasion.

"Club rugby is very strong at the moment - the support that has been seen for the big games highlights the strength in our sport and it is very encouraging.

"There is so much at stake in this game and the support from our fans will be very important. I would encourage everyone to get to Twickenham and take advantage of great ticket offers and really enjoy a good rugby day out."

Wasps' decision to move the fixture to Twickenham comes off the back of Harlequins' success with the "Big Game" against Leicester at the same ground on December 27, drawing 50,000 fans, and Stade Francais' sell-out against Quins at the Stade de France in round three of the Heineken Cup.
