London Irish have announced the signing of Munster's Australian fly-half or fullback Paul Warwick on a three-year contract.

Warwick will join up with his new team-mates from the start of next season and will stay with the Exiles until 2012. Warwick has been in fine form for Munster this season, providing a second kicking option from fullback with Ronan O'Gara at No.10 or commanding the backline in his absence.

"Quality not quantity has been the philosophy underlying our recruitment policy, so when the opportunity came to sign a top-class player like Paul Warwick we jumped at the chance," said London Irish boss Toby Booth. "Paul is a match-winning player whose performances at fly-half and full-back speak for themselves. He is a welcome addition as we continue to build a world-class squad at London Irish."

Warwick made the switch to Ireland in 2004 when he joined Connacht from Manly. After several successful seasons Munster came calling, with Warwick having a big impact on their march to the Heineken Cup quarter-finals this season.
