England kick us off!
Big first tackle on Owen Farrell there already just along half way, and we already have the first scrum for a knock on. Youngs to feed.

England emerge victorious and feed it along the line, before Youngs chips over the top. Bizarrely, there was no England player chasing and Australia are back in possession with the scrum. Genia feeds before recollecting, sending the ball long into the England's far corner.
Mike Brown catches ball but is deemed in touch so Australia have the first lineout, well into the English 22. Here we go...

Driving maul - something which has worked so well for the Wallabies in the competition so far - pays dividends again and if it wasn't for some poor handling from Israel Folau, Australia would definitely have had the first try of the game down their left flank.

Australia manage to keep the ball away and the pressure is mounting on the English defence... Not a great start from England here and a try is still looming.

Great cross field kick but Israel Folau fails to collect in the air under pressure from Watson - another genuine chance for try. Play has been brought back though, as Australia have the penalty as England are caught offside.

Bernard Foley - who already has 200 international points to his name - collects the first three of the night from the penalty kick!

England running it in midfield for the first time before Foley catches Watson who looks like he could be breaking through after Farrell's neat little offload. Joseph involved heavily with the tackling here as well. England now have the scrum along the right flank.

England win the penalty from the scrum and this has Farrell three points written all over it. Fairly centre and on the edge of the 22.

England together putting some nice phases but Joseph mishandles - admittedly due to a poor offload - and Australia retrieve possession in their 22 and boot up field. Australia lineout now, just inside the English 22.

Israel Folau bursts who some England tackles with ease but eventually is taken down by Brown. However, they've managed a scrum inside England's 22 again for Mike Brown's knock on.

Eventually the pressure told. England simply ran out of numbers leaving the space for Foley. Little show-and-go leaves the door open between Brown and Launchbury and the No.10 breaks through and secures the first try of the evening.

England lineout along the half way, which they take well before offloading down their line to the right. Joseph storms forward - 10 metres or so - before being taken down. England now work it along the opposite direction. Jonny May takes it upon himself to replicate Joseph's little burst but, as we saw with the centre himself, it's not long before he's hacked down.

Cross field kick from Farrell does find May down the left flank - he did superbly to win it in the air over Ashley-Cooper - but knocks on. Australia have the scrum just inside their own half.

England guilty of coming across in the scrum, turning in on the right hand side from Marler. Aus pen.
Monster kick from Gitau who pings it right down into the English corner. They have the subsequent lineout.

After a succession of scrums, England are awarded the penalty which Farrell kicks out for the lineout along half way. Driving maul results, but both sides are stuck in a bit of stalemate. Robshaw leads by example and advances on his own 10 metres eventually. Good effort from the England No.7.

Games slowed down a bit here. Australia looking the more likely to score, but neither side are taking full control. Nice flow from Australia with regards to moving the ball around.

We've got another England scrum down the left flank on half way... Complete mess and England - in particular Marler again - are penalised for not driving straight and we have Australian penalty. All three penalties that England have conceded so far have all come from scrums...

Real quality from Australia. Lovely line break which results from the lineout thanks to Pocock, and Foley's little give and go with Beale slices Ben Youngs and Ben Morgan completely apart. Real great stuff from the Wallabies there, and at a pivotal point in the game, too.

HALF TIME ANALYSIS
ESPN's Sam Bruce, who's at Twickenham, had this to say:
"Bernard Foley has had a first half to remember at Twickenham to pilot Australia into a strong position at half-time of their crunch Pool A clash with England. The playmaker has mixed his game up superbly, picking up both of the Wallabies' tries and kicking three goals to lead the two-time champions to a 17-3 lead at the break. England have had their moments, with Jonathan Joseph in particular looking dangerous, but they haven't been able to match Australia's ball control - much of which has to do with Foley. The first of his two tries came went he took the line on, broke through, and then stepped full-back Mike Brown while he combined with Kurtley Beale in a brilliant one-two for his second. England have it all to do in the second half."

After a nice little bit of play from Australia, working the ball well right to left, they let it slip and 'pass' the ball into touch. England have the lineout, don't take full control as they've thrown it too hard and the ball finds its way into Australian possession.

England penalty now after a late tackle on Robshaw. Once again opted for the lineout deeper in the Australian half despite being within kicking range.

The lineout leads to the rolling maul but Australia do well to keep out the Red Rose out. England pressure is mounting and for the first time in the game look like a genuine attacking threat. Great interception from Foley in the build up after a sweeping England move that had left Joseph's hands last. Looked like an incoming England try - at last - but Foley once again the man of the moment.

Better shove from the England 8 in the scrum and they emerge comfortably in possession. However, Australia's line looks like something made of titanium. Nothing's working for England right now, they can't find the break they're so desperately after.

It was coming. George Ford's vision and passing helps to find Watson on his right, and Watson's strength JUST about kept off the two Australian's tackling from behind. Good try and an even better conversion kick from Farrell.

England are under the cosh again and have some defending to do as Australia take their turn at attacking again. The lineout is dispatched well and they work it well - right to left and then back left again. But, it's not for long, as Youngs takes the ball back for England. Nice work.

Ford kicks deep into the Australian half, before it's returned, but then Farrell takes command and kicks back himself. Folau opts to run it himself once collecting from the air, rather than carrying on this game of back and forth football.

...England are to finish the match with 14 as Farrell has been sent to the bin. Not only will England finish with a man down but Australia have the penalty in kicking range - Foley to take. Not looking good for Lancaster and England. From bad to worse.

Australia forced the turnover on the left touch line, and they knew exactly where the space was and Cheika's men rub salt in the wounds as Giteau makes the try from Ashley-Cooper's offload. This couldn't have gone much worse for England.

FULL TIME ANALYSIS
ESPN's Sam Bruce had this to say...
"England's Rugby World Cup campaign is over after the failed to confront the dual threat of David Pocock and Michael Hooper, while also playing witness to a Bernard Foley masterclass. The Wallabies No.10 had easily his finest outing in the gold jumper to guide Australia to a 33-13 victory at Twickenham. Foley scored all but five of Australia's points, the fly-half grabbing two tries in the first half and going perfect with the boot to etch his name in glory. England momentarily threatened a comeback after trailing 17-3 at the break but they were always playing from behind. Jonathan Joseph's try offered some hope but a yellow card to Owen Farrell ended any chance of a late fightback. Australia, buoyed by their dominance at scrum time, then iced one of their finest ever outings at the home of English Rugby as Matt Giteau took flight to touch down in the corner. They now look to Wales next week while England must find some motivation to contest a dead rubber with minnows Uruguay."
