Ormsby boosts Sale with new deal

- Sale Sharks have been boosted by the news that Kiwi forward Kristian Ormsby has signed a new two-year deal with the Aviva Premiership side.
The former Chiefs lock/flanker has endured an injury-ravaged time at Sale since his arrival in 2008 but is ready to push on under new head coach Mike Brewer.
"Obviously, it was very disappointing to get injured so soon after my arrival and the injury took longer than we expected to heal," he said. "But I was delighted to rejoin the Sale pack towards the end of the last season and am very much looking forward to the future with the club.
"Like everyone, I am excited by all the new signings we have made and am looking forward to working with new head coach Mike Brewer."
- Wales flanker Dan Lydiate has signed a new two-year contract extension with Newport Gwent Dragons. The 22-year-old won two caps in November 2009 but finished last season on the treatment table with an ankle injury.
"We had a really good season and it is somewhere that I wanted to stay, so I am glad it has worked out," he said. "There was a little bit of interest but I still had a year left on my contract and I wanted to stay so I have extended my contract.
"The Dragons have always looked after me. I came up through the academy so there are a lot of boys here that I have been with for a long time."
- Versatile Tongan international Epi Taione has signed for Championship side London Welsh. Taione, 31, has 17 caps for Tonga and six for the Pacific Islands and can cover the back-row, centre and wing.
- Rugby fans are being offered a unique double by Rugby World
Cup Ltd. (RWCL) and the Rugby Football Union for Women (RFUW) as the Women's Rugby World Cup looms. The tournament, to be hosted in England at the Surrey Sports Park, kicks off on August 20 and fans buying tickets will be placed on a priority ticket list for the 2015 men's Rugby World Cup, also to be staged in England.
"This is an unprecedented opportunity for the rugby fan in England to double their Rugby World Cup experience," Rosie Williams, RFUW managing director, said. "WRWC 2010 will be full of excitement and open rugby and you get the added benefit of the chance to see the world's best men's players when they come to England in 2015."
