Leeds have been handed a sizable boost as they look to cement their place in the Aviva Premiership, with director of rugby Andy Key and head coach Neil Back both agreeing new deals. The duo, who guided the Yorkshire side to survival in the top flight last season, have put pen to paper on contracts which will keep them a Headingley until the end of next season. Leeds endured a disappointing start to their Premiership campaign last weekend, slipping to a 32-16 home defeat to Bath. "Andy and Neil have done an outstanding job since their arrival at the club," Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington said. "They have created a work ethic within the squad that is second to none, and set out a long-term vision to make Leeds Carnegie a major force, not just in English rugby, but also in Europe. "Our challenge as an organisation is now to grow our income streams to enable Neil and Andy to continue to develop the club and to take us to where we all want to be." © Scrum.com
