Newcastle Falcons have completed the cross-code signing of former Super League winger Rikki Sheriffe.

The 26-year-old has inked a two-year deal at Kingston Park after leaving Bradford Bulls, for whom he scored eight tries last season.

"Newcastle Falcons are an ambitious club and I'm delighted to get the opportunity to move up here," he said. "I'm now focused on getting myself fully fit and hopefully I can take my chance. I'm really looking forward to meeting up with the guys at Kingston Park."

Falcons boss Alan Tait, a dual code international during his playing career, added: "Rikki is a proven finisher and he showed that at the highest level in rugby league. Of course it will take him a while to adjust to the game but he's a natural born try scorer and I'm confident he'll be a success at the club."

Meanwhile, Exeter backs Nic Sestaret, Matt Jess and Phil Dollman have all agreed new two-year contracts with the Aviva Premiership club. Sixteen of the Chiefs' first team squad have recently penned fresh deals, with more set to follow.
