Exeter have re-signed scrum-half Kevin Barrett on a two-year deal.

The England Sevens international has spent the last two years at Saracens, having left the Chiefs in 2009 after four seasons and 94 appearances.

"I'm very excited about the move," he said. "I spent four very enjoyable years at the club and I'm looking forward to being a part of the Chiefs again. I have gained a lot of experience from being at Saracens and from my time with the England Sevens. I am relishing the chance, however, to play for the Chiefs at Premiership level."

Irish flanker Eoghan Grace is on his way out of Sandy Park however, having agreed a two-year deal with Magners League side Connacht.

The 23-year-old has been hampered by injury so far this season and has only featured once for the first team since joining from Munster.

"He has a real turn of pace, which is vital for the modern game, but injuries following one after another haven't allowed him to get any consistency," Chiefs boss Rob Baxter said. "The bits and pieces when he has played, he has looked very good.

"Sometimes, though, it is right for players to move on and I think the opportunity for Eoghan to go to Connacht is good for him."
