Gloucester have confirmed World Cup-winner Trevor Woodman will continue as the team's scrum coach.

Woodman joined Gloucester midway through last season and will work alongside the new-look coaching team of David Humphreys, Laurie Fisher, John Muggleton and Nick Walshe. Woodman, who will continue to be a sports ambassador for Cheltenham College, is delighted to be staying at Kingsholm.

"No-one was satisfied with how we performed last year, and that's providing extra motivation for everyone as we prepare for next season," Woodman said. "We know where we want to be and we're working hard to achieve that.

"I'm particularly looking forward to working with Laurie Fisher, whose background speaks for itself. He's achieved big things wherever he has coached and I think we'll make a good team. The squad is looking strong as a whole, but it's now a question of getting everyone to realise their undoubted potential and helping Gloucester to move onwards and upwards."
