  • Sale have been boosted by the news that prop Eifion-Lewis Roberts has signed a new three-year contract.

Roberts is currently in Wales' Six Nations squad but is yet to feature in a game, while Sale are level on points with Leeds at the bottom of the Guinness Premiership.

"It's great to see that Eifion is committed to the club, even though we have had a bad few weeks in terms of results," Sharks director of rugby Kingsley Jones said. "There was a lot of competition for his services both from abroad and the Welsh regions and I know that his decision to stay with us has not been one that has been governed by money."

  • Leeds centre Scott Barrow has signed a new two-year deal with the Guinness Premiership side.

"I'm very happy to have a new deal at Leeds. It's good to sort my future out," Barrow told BBC Radio Leeds. "I had interest from a few other clubs but I always wanted to stay at Leeds and now want to help them stay in this league and build for the future."

  • Scrum-half Jonny Arr has signed a two-year extension to his contract with Worcester Warriors. The 21-year-old is a graduate from the club's academy.

  • Edinburgh prop Kyle Traynor has re-signed with the Magners League side for a further two seasons. The promising prop, 24, made his Test debut for Scotland during the 2009 November Tests.
