Sale Sharks have added to their fullback ranks ahead of the new Aviva Premiership season with the signing of Joaquin Tuculet.

The 22-year-old will join from Argentinean rugby side Club de Rugby Los Tilos on a one-year deal. The fullback played for his country's 'A' Team - The Jaguars - in this summer's IRB Nations Cup in Romania scoring four tries in four matches.

Tuculet is tipped to be an international in a couple of years time and has represented the Argentina U20's in the 2009 Junior World Championships. Sale boss Steve Diamond is looking forward to welcoming his new recruit.

"I first saw Joaquin when I coached Russia and he impressed me," Diamond said. "He narrowly missed out on selection for the Puma's World Cup Squad, and I am delighted he has joined us.

"He will fit in perfectly with what we are trying to achieve at the club and has already started training."

Sale have recruited heavily ahead of the 2011-12 season and have added the likes of Munster's Tony Buckley, Wales' Andy Powell and Clermont's Tasesa Lavea to their ranks.
